Sickening Prices

Its a really nice country. However the prices are so high, you feel ripped off, even if you have the money. Get ready for the SHOCK of your life. You better take a fishing pole.

A city in the middle of Fjords

The first thing that hits you is the friendly people. The second thing is that it looks so amazing. Walking along the streets and looking at the statues is awesome. It is expensive but most of it is really worth it. Many big stars choose to go to Oslo or Stockholm when visiting Scandinavia as these two are very international capitals. Buying a pair of bukser in Oslo is a true experience. Take the train up north and have a nice hiking trip on the fjells and enjoy the fresh air. Well worth visiting.

Costly - but worth it!

Apart from the classical city sights, the compact city centre surprises with its air of friendliness - though you pay a price for it! Culture buffs will be delighted by the Munch Museum and in particular by the open air museum of Vigelandspark where Gustav Vigeland's extensive - and impressive - work is exhibited.

oslo

i liked the fact that everthing was so close to you and that the city had that european feel.

Lovely city

I really liked the relaxed atmosphere in such a relatively large and diverse city. We were there in june, and every time the sun came out, the parks were filled with all kinds of people barbequeing an having drinks. The city centre is really nice and compact, but still has a little of that European capital feel to it. The pedestrian street Carl Johan's Gate is really buzzing. A very nice thing is to take a ferry out to one of the islands in the fjord. We went to an old run down café or pub on one of the islands, where they only had two kinds of sandwiches and the beer came in plastic glasses. Still, it was really charming with multi coloured light bulbs hung from the trees, and we watched the sailing boats go by. We're definetly coming back!

Nice city

I really liked Oslo. It's a very friendly, safe city., I was in Oslo 10 years ago and came back this year, and this city has made a great change i have to say. Oslo has becomed really pretty and vibrant. It's a lot to do and it's also very pretty with the Oslo Fjord surrounding the city.. There is a lot of construction going on. The norwegians are building on of the most spectacular Opera buildings in the world among others. Buy the Oslo Card, it is a good investment if you like museums. Oslo has a some world class museums, like the Folkemuseum, Munch museum and my favourit The Resistant Museum. This museum really shows the major role norwegian had, preventing Germany getting the A-bomb during 2 world war. Very interesting. Norwegian are not cold people at all. I met nothing but friendly and extremly good english speaking people. Nightlife was good, but still this city is very suited for families. This har to be one of the safest cities in the world, and the good looking people is something special. Seems like it is a crime in norway looking ugly. Everybody look so healthy and beautiful. The prices are pretty high, but it is way around. If you are very into alcahol ,Oslo and the rest of the nordic countries is not your a place to go. Eating and drinking out is expensive.

I WOULD PREFER TO DIE ,BUT NOT GO.

THE NIGHT LIFE IS VERY BAD. THE PEOPLE ARE SO COLD. I AM NEVER GOING BACK TO THIS PLACE.
