Lovely Amsterdam
Amsterdam is so much more than I thought it would be. I must say I had certain expectations before visiting Amsterdam, but it surpassed everything I had heard. There's so much to see and so much to do. Arts, culture are ever present in Amsterdam. And there's no shortage of café's, bars, clubs either, which although a bit pricey are definately worth it. I'm definately going back next summer. Everyone should visit Amsterdam atleast once in their lifetimes.

There is culture, art, history, and the nightlife. What more could you ask for in a small city. This city was easy to navigate. Everything was in a short walking distance. The people were super nice. The food was wonderful. The city was very, very clean. And, landies, if you have a chance, check out the self-cleaning toliet in the coffeeshop in the entrance to the Red Light District. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen.

Its the best multi-cultural place we have ever been..my boys, 19 and 14 had the best time and learned a lot of history and art (things that they just read about come to life). It was very educational and the people and the dutch are very helpful with giving directions and info for tourists like us. Great Food, Loved the flowermarkets, tulips! and the museums and everything! We are definitely going back.

My only wish for Amsterdam is that I wish it was a secret. I wish few knew of the great atmosphere and I could cherish all to my self. The closest a tourist can get to this in Mokum is going in the dead of winter. Then,you are blending with the local crowd and getting a true taste of the culture. I think all men, when they turn 18 should be sent to amsterdam on a quest to discover themselves. This city has all the indulgences in life, a true test of character is what you do or don't do when no one is stopping you from doing anything.
