Lovers Paradice

I have been stationed in Italy for 2 years and i must say that if i could reccomend any place in this country it would be venice, hands down. This could be the most beautiful city in the world, not just Italy.

Venice is a wonderful city where you can get lost and enjoy every minute of it! Crowded streets, but no cars or vespas! Watching the sunset over the cityscape is Fantastic!

Gotta go!!

Food, sites and friendliness. Suggest visiting when it is warm so you can sit outside and have drinks/dinner as it is soooo romantic.

Unlike any other

Venice is an experience and it always stays with you. This is a place to go and explore - you can feel lost in the "streets", but are never far from the popular sights and what you can find in your adventures is even more wonderful. The immersion is nothing like any other place that I have been. Be completely spontaneous and eat wherever and see what you see, just by strolling.

The magical city

My husband and I went last October 2004 and never imagined how beautiful and romantic this city could be. First of all, its historic value, and for that only, Venice is unique! It felt like magic at night...at Piazza San Marcos with the classical music coming from various cafés...all the lightining, it seems magical...so different from daytime...Although the place is crowded (of course it is going to be like that, after all it is such a beautiful place)it is not uncomfortable because it is part of it and you can allways walk another way, get lost, go through another bridge... I have been to many countries around the world but Venice is something else!!! (Of course we are planning to return as soon as possible) Ciao Venezia!

MAGNIFICO!!!

Wife and I have been there 3 times and it only gets better! One of the great romantic cities of the world. Can't get too much of it. Love to stroll, ride the vaparazzo's and eat, eat, eat!!

The Grande Dame

This place is like no other. The people are friendly and it is so easy to get around. Throw out the maps and get lost in this Grande Dame of another Time. Let yourself walk into the most amazing Piazza's and canals, take your time and experience the stories she whispers to you like a long lost lover. Let the breezes and sounds lead you to her backwaters and secrets. If you use a map, you truly will not meet the destination that she has chosen for you. Enjoy her company and remember that she will have her way with you. Surrender and keep her close to your heart, she will always reside in mine..........
