Overall

So much time spent looking forward to my second visit in Rome only to have it ruined on my third day when my bag was slashed clearly with a stanley knife (so sharp) and my purse removed. Apart from the shock the attitude of the police was something else. I very much doubt that I would have ever experienced such an attitude reporting a theft in the UK. All I got for the first ten minutes was the typical shoulder shrugging, they just did not care.
