The atmosphere is incredible. I never could have imagined how beautiful Rome is before I got there. Although my Italian is limited, at best, I felt very welcomed and safe in this city. Walking around downtown near the ruins was breathtaking and I encourge all who go to take a stroll down there at night. I went with my boyfriend, it is one of the most romantic places you could ever go with a special someone. A great place to stay is the Artica Aurelia Residence, it was clean, affordable and had helpful staff.

It is a city of romance, history, and mystery. You can break away from the crowds and make Rome your very own. Do you like art, architecture, fine food, good wine, great coffee, quaint streets, intiguing alleys, friendly people, a culture that's ancient, a city that works; try Rome. TRy staying in the Borgo neighborhood( its across the tiber by hadrians tomb and the vatican. It is cheaper but just as accessible to everything. Walk, walk, walk; but watch out for the traffic. And please don't be an ugly american, if you don't already know that we are the world's philistines it is already too late for you. Please! it is not Epcot, the culture is not there for your entertainment. Find out something before you go and learn something while you are there. Enjoy.

What's not to like? Italian is probably the most romantic and most passionate language on earth,...which makes Rome an ideal getaway vacation spot for any couple....So what did I think? I loved it,...and Florence(Firenze).

Rome is breathtaking. It's my favorite city in Italy. There is so much to see and do that you will never say that you are bored when in Rome.

i like this place cause it is beautiful comfortable and is a type of feeling that cannot explaine .the last thing is i have a very apreciate moment at roma.i really like the place very much.

Went to Rome for 1st wedding aniversary (first time for both of us). We stayed in a small hotel down from the CollssieumWent to Rome for out 1st wedding anniversary (first time for both of us) and was there for about 7 days during Christmas 2003. We stayed in a small hotel about 10 blocks from the Coliseum. Great location. We went everywhere and saw everything (almost) that could be seen in Rome. Rome is amazing BUT if it was not for all the ruins, history, architecture, etc. the city would be almost 3rd world. The people are very rude. They have no respect for women at all. There was graffiti almost everywhere and the garbage was always piled up in the streets. Everyone smokes (though I expected that going there) and no one cares that you don't. The food was great but the weather was not. Again we expected the weather to be cold and rainy. So going the fall or spring when its warmer and there is less people. All in all it was a good trip but I do not think I would go back anytime soon.

it was horrible all you ever talk about is hotels I need info I'm v canceling my trip I'll just go to Disney Land.
