(Report Problem)Rome is without a doubt the best city I have ever visited by a long shot. It has so much to offer in terms of history and culture, good weather too. So much is packed into a relatively small space. Ive been to over sixty individual sights in the city and just about the only one I wouldn't recommend is the catacombs on the Appian Way. Don't miss St. Peter's, The Forum, The Colosseum, Castel Sant Angelo, Palatine Hill, Campodoglio, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, The Pantheon, Repubblica, Santa Maria Maggiore, Trajan and Marcus Aurelius' Columns, Piazza Novona, Marcellus' Theatre, Piazza Del Popolo and Villa Borghese - All these sights are withing walking distance from one another! The city is beautiful, breathtaking, diverse and inspiring. There is no place on earth quite like it!

(Report Problem)I was taken to Rome by my partner for my birthday, it was also our first holiday together. It was the most romantic city I have been to. The atmosphere and the people where amazing and the sights where beautiful I didnt want to leave. During our stay we stayed in the Melia hotel just outside Rome it was a lovely hotel that had a free shuttle service to the city centre. We will most definatley stay there again. As we where there for five days we took the Eurostar to Florence for the day, this is well worth it if you get time. Just an hour and a half away and quite cheap its a welcome bonus. I would highly recommend Rome as a beautiful and romantic holiday.
