Although the suburbs are sprawling the city centre is compact and easy to walk around. It's definitely the fun city of Europe in my opinion. Funny enough I fell in love with Crepes which aren't a traditional Irish dish by any means but once you've tasted them in the Half Moon Crepe company in Temple Bar you'll be hooked. Don't leave Dublin without trying them. The world famous Irish Pubs are simply the best in the world and ther's plenty of traditional Irish music which creates a great atmosphere. The Irish people must be among the most friendly in world and I was made welcome wherever I went. Temple Bar was well worth a visit (several actually) and the Quays pub was my favourite. Ah the Guinness - I love it. Go to bed at night and dream about the Crepes and the Craic. Can't wait to return.

(Report Problem)Dublin is an amazing and vibrant city! There is a great deal to do in Dublin though it may not seem like it at first. Many wonderful attractions lie outside the city centre. Within the city you should not miss Trinity College, Dublin Castle, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Christchurch, Grafton Street, St. Stephen's Green, The Customs House, George's Street Arcade, The Spire and more. If you get the dart to the northern suburbs you can go to Howth, a beautifully scenic coastal area not far from the city. If you get the dart to the southern suburbs you can visit the idyllic coastal villages of Dalkey and Killiney. The view of the city and the coast from Killiney hill is breathtaking!!! Other sights not far from the city of interest are Kilmanham Gaol, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin Mountains, Phoenix Park, Glendalough, and a little further away is the 5,000 year old prehistoric sight of Newgrange which is AMAZING and quite cheap! Dublin is great for history, culture and nightlife

(Report Problem)I spent 6 wonderful days around Dublin city and stayed in Howth, which is a 20 minute journey into the city centre by Dart, the light rail system. Getting around by publin transport is excellent, either by bus or Luas - the newest light rail system around the city centre and suburbs. A geat selection of shops to choose from whether you are looking for clothes. If you are a spend thrift then look out for some of the best silverware in specialist shops around the Grafton Sreet area.

(Report Problem)I have travelled the world in my time working freelance for oil & gas companies. But when I decided to take my family to Dublin, I just couldn't wait to get back home. Children are barred from pretty-much everywhere. Even taxis. We couldn't even have a drink in the hotel bar with children on a Sunday afternoon. And it is anti-English, BIG STYLE. My View of Dublin: 1. For single sex groups 2. Great for people that are not well travelled 3. Europe's equivalent to Bangkok's traffic problem 4. The most expensive city to visit (hotels/dining etc.) 5. The roughest neighbourhoods 6. Nothing to do, unless you want to drink in Temple Bar 7. Best avoided However, it is probably the only place I have been glad to leave. And when you think I spent nearly 3 years in Sana'a', Yemen, that is saying something.

(Report Problem)Dublin is a great city for nightlife and partying. However if you want to see the real Ireland, go to the west coast. Some really beautiful natural scenery and the people are friendlier. Kerry and Galway are musts, if you want to have more of the traditional Irish craic agus ceol(fun and music).
