How can a place be so hostile? I remember months before visiting this city everyone was saying to me wonderful people, friendly people and the only thing I didn't see was that. It's a very narrow city, it doesn't look rich at all but the people are so rude and aggressive and unfriendly... I remember when I took a taxi the driver mentioned to me how bad are the immigrants who destroy the Irish culture!!! Are we serious. Friendly city??? Much more friendly are even the Germans than the Irish. People there were throwing rubbish in the streets and they were looking at me something like "foreigners...". Save yourself don't visit this place. It's something like a big nationalistic powerhouse.

(Report Problem)Nothing great at all. All the city is a typical bad architectured British wreck. Ireland the second richest country of eu??? What??? This is Africa. Dirty streets with people throwing up at Saturday nights and taking a p...s in the back trails and alleys. It's smelly and snobby. Terrible accent and junkies everywhere. Public transport which is just a joke. I remember I took the electrical train to go to the city center from where I was and I could find newspapers and food under my seats and of course people placing their feet upon the seats even in front of me... The train stopped 2 stations before due to a failure and then I had to take the bus to go to the city center... And I remember noone was talking at me... I was like an alien... A city that has absolutely nothing except 2 face people snobby and rude and very very agressive teanagers all around... That place was filthy...

(Report Problem)Friendly city??? What the hell??? Is this a joke??? I never saw such hostile people as the Irish. Where is the friendliness and warmth when people just kidding you in the middle of the street cause you have different colors and dressings. Where is the hospitality when people pushing you without even say sorry??? Where is the friendliness when don't even spend their time to tell you a good morning or at least hallo??? Where is the attractive city when the amount of litter in the streets is astronomical??? Where is the atmosphere and the impressive cosmopolitan environment when the back alleys are like wrecks and people spit in the middle of the street all the time in front of the public??? Where is the great food when you need at least 40 euro to eat craps? About the public transports.... do they exist? That country is a joke. But now I get it... I remember I was talking to an x-Irish ambassador and he mentioned to me that "our government wants immigrants cause the locals have no idea from the world outside and they need to take a lesson". That was all... There is nothing there. Don't go. It's a punishment to live or travel there. If you wanna meet friendly people go everywhere else except Ireland.

(Report Problem)If you go to Ireland be sure to bring alot of money. I travelled around Dublin and Ireland and what I found was a nation completely obsessed with money. There was no kindness to be found anywhere. I stayed in a few bed and breakfasts and I found most of them to be unclean places which cost a fortune. If I asked for a small discount because it was an out of season period , the door was slammed in my face. Even at the main tourist office the people behind the counter were more interested in their commission from getting me booked in some place than whether i was happy will what they had got for me! The food and resteraunts are rubbish too. All in all Ireland is not a great place to go to at all. Sunnier climates for me I think. I would urge any one who is thinking of travelling to Ireland to think again and dont be taken in by the myth of hospitality that has been created around this place as I feel it is entirely false. Happy Holidays to everyone out there. If you do go to Ireland then watch out for the greed. It wont be hard to spot.

(Report Problem)1)Lack of warmth 2)Dirty streets with food bags and tin bottles everywhere and vomit, dirty alleys abandoned 3)Lack of a good public transport 4)Rude residents with a villager attitude 5)The crime hits the top 6)Traffic 7)Bad architecture, full of graffiti and abandoned buildings and council flats very close to the city center... Can't think anything good. I don't know why you advertise this country so much. Where is the development? Just only building houses in the middle of nowhere.

(Report Problem)I live here for 2 years and I can't wait more to leave. It's awful. The locals are a bunch of racists. (They consider second class citizens even people from eu) Lack of warmth and friendliness. The residents are snob and they don't even know their neighbors. Dublin is dangerously closed for the foreigners, the education level is pretty low (I really wonder can the locals spell that word?). It's a big snobby village. And the worst litter litter everywhere. I haven't seen such a littered country before. The locals leave stuff wherever they choose cause they think this is normal. Vomits and smashed bottles everywhere even in the poshest locations. I have seen people tossing food bags in the middle of the street even the bin was 1meter behind. Shameful. Public transports are extremely bad. Nothing works, nothing on time except people who spend their salaries paying rents and mortgages. Good place only for the starter. Not for somebody who has great expectations. I would never recommend anyone visit that city. Do not spend your money making them richer. Enough is enough. That place is not NY, not London, not Zurich, not Paris. It's dangerously closed. I don't get it. P.S Please stop present the country as a friendly place. It's well known that has to do with a well promoted tourist campaign.

(Report Problem)This restaurant is just outside of the Temple Bar area and all the bettter for it. We booked a table for two at 9 pm. When we got there the restaurant was busy but we got our table straight away. We were given the menus and the wine list. The waiter was very friendly and also helpfully recommended the house white which turned out to be a treat indeed and very reasonably priced. We started with bruscheta. This is the best bruschetta that we have had outside of Italy. There is also sufficient in one serving to do two people. For main course I had a vegetartian lasagne and my wife had a pizza. We were both very happy with our meals and , again, there was more than enough in the main course. We were so fulll that we did n't get to dessert but the dessert menu looked wonderful and if it was half as good as the other courses then you would be more than happy. We can't wait to go back on our next visit to Dublin. Excellent food reasonably priced in a good location- sure what more could you ask for? Go on, look just outside the Temple Bar area and you are in for a rare treat.

Dublin is modern and lively, however public transport is bad...but it's improving. Go there and you'll enjoy it....

(Report Problem)From Dalkey dart station to Killiney the driver charged me 10 euro which I know it is usually just 6 euro. Maybe because I am not Irirsh. So next time I try to find another company. And he kept asking me personal questions about my job and other things.Maybe he was just curious but he really annoyed me.
