Unbelievable history. Incredible temples and ruins. Friendly people, ready to help. Amazing nightlife. Athenians tend to party until 6 o'clock in the morning and then go to work, especially in the summer. Delicious food and really good prices. The sun, the weather the whole atmosphere is great. It would probably be the best place in the world if there wasn't any pollution. The center of Athens(Omonia) is not very clean. Overall, do not miss the opportunity to visit this city!!!!

every single thing is amazing. the ancient greek spirit lives there! the olympic stadium is marvelous...when you get out of the airplane you think that you are a part of the immortal greek civilization. there are no other words for athens and greece

Give my regards to Yanni his music is in a class by its self. This city is the first to host olympics and become a symbol for the games. I find it an original work of art from other cities from an photographer point of view many creations can be doned.

Athens is a beautiful city all in it's self (you have to look past the surface to see the true beauty) once you can overcome the language barrier. The ruins were beautiful. It was one of those things that you ask yourself. How did they move a 2,000 pound boulder up that high? One other thing i found interesting is The Parthenon is situated on a mountain and the city has sprung up around it. Defiantly a vacation that needs to be planned out. The transit system wasn’t that useful because the distances like the ruins are such a ways away that taking cab is much easier. But i would recommend staying here only for the ruins no longer no less but taking the ferry or plane to the island of Crete was defiantly a treat. Knowing someone who lived there helped us out alot too.
