After visiting dozens of states in the US, Canada, England and Italy, I found Paris to be the most lively city. Learn little bit of French before you go or atleast few sentences and greetings show respect to the natives. The trip shouldn't be less than a week if you want to feel the buzz of the city. Don't buy a day pass of the Metro of two zones. Except the modern part, La Defense, most is within the first zone. Go to the La Defense on one ticket and spend half day there. Not necessary to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower, even the second floor is just perfect to see and feel what is there. Go in the evening to see day, sunset and then night look. Learn basics of photography to capture the best moments of ur life. Walk as much as you can and use buses instead of subway, so that you see more of the city. Rest is wonderful, enjoy!!
Great for: History/Culture, Nightlife
