Overall

everywhere was beautiful, one monument was next to the other which in turn was next to the other. the one thing that spoiled my visit was the train back to the airport, we purchased an all day metro ticket thinking that that would take us round the bits that we wanted to see then get us back to CDG but we got heavily fined by guards who boarded the train in a certain area - expecting to find people who had the wrong tickets. if u buy an all day metro ticket at CDG it gets you anywhere in paris but if you buy an all day ticket - for the same price - inside paris itself it only allows you to travel in 3 certain zones i.e the main tourist locations, not however, back to the airport or disneyland paris. as soon as you hit the fourth zone they dive on the train in numbers and you get an on the spot fine of 25 euro EACH
