Overall

What I don't like about Paris and Europe in general is American fast food chains. Their signs just ruin the atmosphere of being in another country. I wish other countrys would stop trying to be like Americans and just be themselves with their own culture, etc. The best? live music on the train from the airport to Paris, the Metro, walking in areas of Paris I haven't been to before, the food, architecture, people watching, hearing the language spoked, languages from other countries being spoken, an early morning walk watching the city wake up, people sitting outside at cafe's at night talking and socializing, small churches and art museums tucked away in some corner, culture, culture, culture!!!!! The French live life, we all are just jealous. Get a French phrase book and learn a few, like, hello, thank you, do you speak english, learn how to order food/drink, learn the French words for different foods, or carry a list with you and just read from it. Once they see you are at least trying to speak their language, if they speak english usually they will to help you out.
