well your reviewers certainly span from loving it to despising it. the truth about this city lies somewhere in between. yes the paris people are often rude and curiously backward by modern standards yet others are charming and wonderfully eccentric. spending the last 10 days in paris my wife and i have experienced all the extremes this city has to offfer. there is one thing however that is timeless, that is the sheer physical beauty of the city itself. it really has no equals in this respect. perfect it may not be but it will always fascinate us nonetheless.
