Need a second opinion

four stars

I'm not sure what i was expecting when i went to Paris in October 2005 for the first time..but it certainly wasnt all the tourists and long queues. I loved visiting all the old buildings and musuems rich with history and artifacts... and being to travel there by train from London. Ooo and the food choices were to die for! along with the day and night life....You absolutely have to see MOUlin Rouge for yourself to beleive it... BUt there were too many people wandering around for my taste and i wish sometimes i could just escape to the French Countryside...which you can do from Paris if youve got enough money

Great for: History/Culture, Theatre/Music, Nightlife, Budget Travel

I loved all this: I have been to Paris on six occasions and it always takes my breath away: The laid back culture The weather The atmosphere La Louvre (mona lisa) Le Champs Elysee Le tour Effiel The steaks The onion soup Moulin Rouge - Eating snails and the outstanding show Notre Dame area - Sitting in gardens eating crusty bread and drinking wine

Absolutely beautiful

five stars

After visiting dozens of states in the US, Canada, England and Italy, I found Paris to be the most lively city. Learn little bit of French before you go or atleast few sentences and greetings show respect to the natives. The trip shouldn't be less than a week if you want to feel the buzz of the city. Don't buy a day pass of the Metro of two zones. Except the modern part, La Defense, most is within the first zone. Go to the La Defense on one ticket and spend half day there. Not necessary to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower, even the second floor is just perfect to see and feel what is there. Go in the evening to see day, sunset and then night look. Learn basics of photography to capture the best moments of ur life. Walk as much as you can and use buses instead of subway, so that you see more of the city. Rest is wonderful, enjoy!!

Great for: History/Culture, Nightlife

We're going back in the summer

five stars

Paris was lovely. We stayed at the Trocadero. We saw most of the sites around Paris. My favorite was the Lourve. It was so beautiful. We went up the Eiffel tower and we visited Notre Dame. The food was delicious. I would definatley go there again. There was just so much to do!

Dissapointment

two stars

Since child that I had the intention to visit Paris. More than London. Now, that I've been in the two cities more than 3 times each... London is by far the best. The parisienes are awful... mostly.

What a beautiful city!!! It has everything you're looking for...Romance...Culture...Atmospheric...Convenience....Value....and out of this world... The Eiffel Tower has to be conquered and so does the Montparnasse Tower too. Fantastic to see at night too...Spectacular views from the top....Eating out can be expensive but it depends where u go!!!!
