I like the pedestrian walkway....many souvenir shops and nice restaurants round every corner. Prague castle is not to be missed.....

(Report Problem)Got back Sunday 6 November. Had a brilliant time. Loads to see and do. Concentrated on the Old Town Charles Bridge area. Avoid anybody hanging around by Money Exchanges or approaching you offering you a favourable exchange rate. May seem obvious but one of our party got stuck with a 2000 note from an Eastern Block country that turned out to be worthless. NB There are no 2000 K notes in Czech republic!!!!!!!. Don't let this put you off though.

(Report Problem)Prague was one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to. I didn't quite grasp how ornate and decorated the buildings were from the tours guides I had looked at. The views from Charles Bridge are stunning and an early morning walk along it is definitely the thing to do as it can get very crowded during the day. Also you must see the views of the castle from the Bridge after dark as the lighting makes it look fantastic. The food and drink, especially the beer were very reasonable and the local cuisine was gorgeous although very rich and full of meat, not one for the vegetarians of this world!! I would definitely consider another visit as there is so much we didn't see although we spent 3 whole days walking, comfortable shoes are a must as most streets are cobbled. I would definitely recommend a short break there as you will not be dissapointed.

(Report Problem)I like Prague much. Because here is a lot of monuments, shops, souvenirs and there are very nice and inteligent people, who like to help you. Hotels and shops are very cheaps. And Czech rep made really good and quality things, like Skoda cars, great czech beer, and more things. I like too czech films. When u will go to Prague you must go to czech cinema and see some czech film. Thats nice. Well, I think Prague is really magic city.

(Report Problem)Being a student the main thing I look for in a holiday is value for money. Prague was definitely that! With 3 course meals for around £5 and wine from 75p a glass in clubs I came back with plenty of currency left over. It is possible to explore the city entirely by foot if you have the energy, but if you've been sampling the local nightlife the day before and are feeling a bit worse for wear the public transport is reallly efficient and easy to use! On a clear day the views from Petrin Tower are spectacular and well worth the climb...and while you are there you have to go to the hall of mirrors, its stupid but so much fun! We fell in love with Charles Bridge, atmosphere was great (though in summer it may get a little crowded) especially when the Charles Bridge Swing Band comes out to play. All in all a great place for good nightlife, culture, things to do and is definitely value for money

(Report Problem)Prague is still unbeaten by anywhere I've ever been - including Rome, Budapest, Copenhagen and Amsterdam. The atmosphere is almost magical, particularly Charles Bridge which made me feel emotional everytime I looked at it, it has an indescribable presence about it. The food is incredably cheap and excellent quality. The only thing you MUST watch out for it pick pockets particularly on the bridge and in the tube station where it actually happened to one of the group I was with. I can't wait to go back there and I've not felt that about anywhere else I've been to so far!

(Report Problem)Have just returned from a weekend. Stayed on the square in Old Town. People very friendly - even the money change scammers were polite. Very pretty buildings, but rather tired and dirty off the beaten track with a lot of graffiti. Recommend a concert in one of the many, many churches, also a boat trip. Climb (or take the lift) the old town hall clock tower for a good 360 deg. view. Wencelas Square did not have a very comfortable feeling in the evening, although there were plenty of police visible.
