(Report Problem)Innsbruck is a fine city with fabulous architecture, good shopping and little hidden gems all over it! I have now been there many times and still haven't got to know it that well, even though it's really a small place. The city is so clean, even in the "ropier" neighbourhoods I've walked through and there are plenty of walks with gorgeous scenery all over. Innsbruck is very flat which makes walking easy and you can travel miles on foot without really noticing. Most of the city centre shops are boutique types, with the biggest chains staying out of town on shopping parks (eg. Ikea, ToysRUs etc). The Innsbruck folk are, like Tyroleans and Austrians generally, friendly and helpful, even though English isn't widely spoken. I recommend Innsbruck to anyone with an interest in old buildings, churches (amazing riches), and walking. Food, beer etc are not expensive (cheaper generally than England), and a good variety can be found there. Surrounding mountains provide a breathtaking backdrop. Enjoy Innsbruck!
