Bangkok is a very busy city and driving a nightmare (and we went by taxi everywhere). Temples is wha you go for and temples are what you get. However the poverty is unbelievable. The water both river and canals is filthy. Bottled water supplied at hotel but found we needed extra and cheaper to go to 7-11 and buy big canister which lasts ages and is very cheap. We had a 3 night stay in a lovely hotel, amari atrium, and would thoroughly recommend it. After a day touring we were glad to get back to the hotel and be pawpwered and didn't venture out at night.Plenty of good restauraants in hotel. Prices very cheap everywhere. Rode a tuk tuk as one must. Quite an experience and not for the fainthearted
