Manhattan Suits

three stars

I had a similar experience at Manhattan Suits. I bought 2 suits and three shirts for $275 USD. This was my first time in Thailand. I did have an amazing time. However, I do regret doing business with this man. He did give me one good suit and one good shirt. When I tried them on, of course, he gave me the nice one. I liked it. When I tried to get the other one out of the bag, he said it is the same size as the other. Size maybe, but not quality. Not wanting to spend my entire time in a suit store and instead on the streets and in the temples, bars of Bangkok, I left in a hurry and discovered the quality was poor. I wear the suits today but one more than the other

Best Tailor for Suits & Shirts

five stars

If you go to Bangkok, you have to get yourself a custom tailored suit or shirt was what everyone told me so I decided to do it. I searched all over Bangkok for a reasonably priced and good tailor and after going to about 30 shops I finally chose Inders Fashion on the top of Sukhumvit Road soi 11. I made a great choice because I was not disappointed. The suits fit like a glove and the shirts were tapered to my body. Now I don't buy clothes anywhere else as they travel to the UK twice a year for their visiting tailor program. What more can you ask for ???? Want a suit, go to Inders Fashion. The smartest clothing choice I ever made.

Manhattan Suits Bangkok

three stars

After giving my Cab driver instructions on a recommended tailor in Bangkok he decided that he would drive me to Manhattan Suits instead. I tried to convince him that I wanted to go to this other place but he he told me that they were the best and that he recommends them over anyone else blah blah blah. Normal Thailand stuff. But, on this occasion I took his word for it and to this day I think that he believed what he was saying, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY GIVE HIM A KICKBACK OF 200 Baht everytime he takes someone new to the shop. Anyway, I purchased 4 suits and about 6 shirts. The shirts have all been fine so far. The suits, on the other hand have started falling apart. The buttons have come off on all 3, the stictching has come off the bottom of the suit jacket and the fabric has pilled and fluffed up particularly on one suit. I paid approximately $1400.00 AUD and feel completely ripped off. What they do is feed you full of beer and tell you that they have a 100% warranty on their product but it's all false. The beer's not false though...that works really well. Don't trust them and don't trust the cabbies. James

Formal clothes no longer a problem - Excellent Suits and Shirts for a very reasonable price

five stars

I haven't got the greatest body ever and its hard to find formal shirts, pants and suits that fit me well and make me look a little slimmer then I am. Then I found one in Bangkok, Thailand. Crown Tailor in Bangkok provided me with 6 excellent suits, 15 beautiful looking shirts and 12 fantastic, well cut pants and all at a very reasonable price. I've had good comments after comments about the clothes I wear to work nowadays and haven't felt as great as I have in ages. I no longer have to go shopping for formal clothes. So I'd highly recommend Crown Tailors for anyone looking to make tailor made clothes out there. They provide excellent service and I've had the priveledge to get my clothes tailored there and will not hesistate to go back again and again to them. The best part is they're located in the centre of town which was very easily accessible for me. Location - About 60 metres inside of Sukhumvit Road soi 8

indescribable

five stars

In a word, Bangkok is indescribable. In fact Thailand in general is the most incredible place i've ever been to. After volunteering in the North for 3 months, i'd practically started planning my trip back as soon as I was off the flight and having now been back twice since, i'm hooked! The hospitality is warm and welcoming, the people are fantastic, and the place itself incredible. Whether you're looking for culture, rest & relaxation or a shopping spree, Thailand has something for everyone. Be warned though, it can be quite hard hitting in some areas due to poverty as Thailand is still a developing country but I will continue to go back whenever I can!

you have to go there

five stars

they call this place the city of angels, this is the city if chaos. its great though when you land at bangkok airport be prepared for the blast of heat as you get outside, I landed at 06.00 in morning and it was 90 even then takes a while to get used to. taxis well , I think anything and everything is a taxi if you got the baht they'll take you I found the best taxi s to use were the yellow taxis make sure they got a meter there double cheap for shopping try the mbk shopping centre , huge place and for some mad reason they have one floor thats more or less mobile phone shops and stalls back to back, but there useful as they can unlock your phone to there networks so buy a thai sim card calls are really really cheap

noisy,poverty,,traffic hell

one star

Bangkok is a very busy city and driving a nightmare (and we went by taxi everywhere). Temples is wha you go for and temples are what you get. However the poverty is unbelievable. The water both river and canals is filthy. Bottled water supplied at hotel but found we needed extra and cheaper to go to 7-11 and buy big canister which lasts ages and is very cheap. We had a 3 night stay in a lovely hotel, amari atrium, and would thoroughly recommend it. After a day touring we were glad to get back to the hotel and be pawpwered and didn't venture out at night.Plenty of good restauraants in hotel. Prices very cheap everywhere. Rode a tuk tuk as one must. Quite an experience and not for the fainthearted
