Superb place

five stars

Hello! Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia as a country is one of the best places to visit in the world. I am very eager to go back again some time soon. Oh, I'm missing Malaysia so much! Great foods, great people and great places to see! The time I have spent and everything I have seen there will stay in my memory forever! I wish Malaysia all the best and peace!!

A Great Place

five stars

I really like KL it is an easy city to get around in, the taxi are cheap and the public transit is great. The airport is very modern and convinent but far from the city center. The city is both very modern with skyscrappers and older buildings with Moorish architecture. The shopping is varied too with International shops and huge shopping mall and street bazaars and night markets with food and clothing stalls taking over entire streets. My favourite thing about KL is that as a westerner I don't get charged more then the locals unlike in Thailand or Bali where tourists are charged more then double the regular rate.

my home..

three stars

my home country. i'm currently in Australia and i already miss the food teribbly! shopping malls are everywhere.. convenient public transportation esp lrt.. driving in the city is certainly not recommended. if you really want to, good luck finding the parking space! the downside? too americanized/westernized.

Frequent visitor to KL.

five stars

KL is a very tourist friendly city catering for all tastes. My personal tip is use the excellant hi-speed rail connection from KLIA to Central Station ( downtown KL).It is fast, reliable and inexpensive.

Where I Live

five stars

I've lived in KL all my life (17 years and counting)and even though it might not be the safest city in the world, i absolutely love it here! A lot of people speak english so you won't find a problem with communication. There's so much to see in Malaysia and even though KL is not as historical as Malacca or Penang, there's still the National Science Centre, Suria KLCC, Bukit Bintang, Petrosains and even places like Dataran Merdeka, Batu Caves, Central Market, the national museum and the Sultan Abdul Samad building. The only thing you might have to watch out for are snatch thefts and being duped by a taxi driver (ask for a 2nd opinion always).
