I was very impressed with how safe we felt all over Seoul. People seemed very friendly and tried to help as much as possible. I was surprised how little English was spoken,or understood. I think it would be a difficult place to visit without a guide or someone to show us around. Seoul is a facinating place to visit and I would love to go back sometime.

(Report Problem)This Isn't Shangri-la, but It's Fine
Korea is like the NY of Asia. Fast, in your face, earthy people. The Palaces and the Biwon are very nice. Insa-dong is a pleasant stroll on weekends when its a pedestrian zone. Old art and tea shops. The all night markets at Dongdemun are outrageous. Good buys on leather and "Louie" bags, but a better price can be had in Itaewon. Great deals on Burma Bilbas and Liz C there as well. Korean food, like the people, is earthy and robust. Not like fufu Japanese food. Learn a little Korean history and you will understand the Koreans better.They are well aware of their history and it shapes their being. Seoul is pleasant, but a bit tough and rough around the edges. Just like NY. It would not be my first place to go in Asia, or my second. But if you have the opportunity to go on business, trake a few days to immerse yourself. If you have lots of time on your hands for pleasure travel, Seoul is worth 3 days.

I had the best time there. The people bent over backwards to help me, even when they could not speak English so well, but that made my adventure even better and more memorable. I will never forget all of those strangers who offered to help me or went out of their way to try to help me. The food is so amazing and really cheap!!! I'll be back again for sure.

I traveled ,Gang-nam,Korea. There was such a rich place where I've traveld.They have almost70 floors big apartments are there.I love Korean and I love there shopping center.

(Report Problem)seoul from someone who stayed longer then 2 weeks
well i was in seoul for a year. it was ok but it just seemed so polluted. you have haze in the middle of winter. then in summer its monsoon time ! a friend of mine said that he thought the koreans were money hungry, because they would always ask about money. my experience that wasnt the case. if you are looking for a nice place to go i would say stay away from seoul go to HK or KL or singapore. but seoul has its benefits like the DMZ, many old royal palaces, very cool musuems.
