I enjoyed Osaka, but it was extremely expensive. I tried to get by with just 100.00 US a day, and couldn't do it. I don't spend much money. Traveling is the hardest, but it's well worth the money you do spend. I would definately recommend people go.

(Report Problem)Osaka is my favorite City in Japan. I always end my trips in Japan in osaka because my experiences here have been absolutely fantastic. I always stay at the Hotel Nikko on the Shinsaibashi because it's convenitnely located. I love the Shinsaibashi arcade, Namba, Umeda, the beautiful women, superfriendly people, Big Echo Karaoke and Chibo restaurant for the Okonomiyaki. I have nothing but good things to say about Osaka.

(Report Problem)I used to live in Osaka, and the greeting there is "Mokari-makka?" to which the answer is "Bochi-bochi den na." "You makin' any money?" "Here and there..." Any foreigner who can do this correctly will become an instant star with the populace. Of course, in Osaka, that's not a hard thing to do, because the people are naturally friendly. In Tokyo, you can get a cold shoulder from someone for just asking the time. Don't forget what Osaka is famous for: food. Okonami-yaki, Takoyaki, Tonkotsu ramen, Unagi, they all taste great, and the prices are cheaper, too. In fact, why don't you just spend all your time in the Osaka/Kobe/Kyoto/Nara area? You'll enjoy it more!
