saipan has got to be one of the beautifulest islands in the pacific. Perfect for paradise loveers and poker lovers. what once had been a military base for both japan and the U.S. has turned into a wondurful romantic island. old war ucuipment ant sites can be viewed. Caves can be eplored if you find the right guys and delicious chinese and japanese food can be tasted. the amazing history of this island will be told only if you go.

(Report Problem)Peace and horror in serene contrast
I spent more time in Hiroshima's Peace Park Museum than in any other musem, seeing the tiny paper cranes folded by Sadako, the little girl afflicted by the A-bomb's radiation, who became an inspiration in her succumbing to the horror fate visited upon her. The Museum, walking the Park and seeing the A-bomb Dome are all in such contrast with the beauty and serenity of visiting and hiking on the island of Miyajima - or perhaps it is exactly that contrast that makes the Hiroshima experience stick in my mind like few others. Travel so often is about personal enjoyment; this visit is about paying one's respects, and learning a very different way to "enjoy". Hiroshima will change you for the better.

This is what the Japanese deserve and they have to accept it. I heard that they are changing the History of WW-II. They teach their youngster in school that they did not start the War and invaded China, South Eastasia, and attack Pearl Harbor. They had killed Millions of innocent people (Children, men and women, Young & old).

Visiting Hiroshima was one of my lifelong dreams. As a young boy I read John Herseys booktitled Hiroshima. It was a detailed account of the bombing of Hiroshima from residents of Hiroshima. The Peace Plaza and museum was an eye opener. We had a great steak dinner near our hotel in the "Chicago Steak House".

you can easily spend more than 2 days in Hiroshima. specially nearby Myajima is phantastic.

Hiroshima is a well built city that revolves around many things. You can find the lastest fashion to many traditional Japanese goods. I enjoyed eating at the restaurants in Okonomiyaki Dori. Great place for a weekend getaway.
