(Report Problem)I'm half Egyptian, my father was born and raised in Alexandria, so I'm inclined to an intense bias. I've been to Alexandria several times in my life, particularly El-Aghemy, and I consider it a home every time I visit. Although I have visited almost everywhere in the country, Alexandria holds a particularly powerful place in my heart. The people are pleasant, conversational, and trusting. The country itself is gorgeous. I've been harrassed by natives, but as long as you know where you're going and how to get there, and you understand enough of the language to convincingly throw off pursuers, there's little risk in visiting. I highly recommend it to any traveler or adventurer, and I hope you fall in love with it the way I have.

(Report Problem)The people were not very friendly and children surrounded us sometimes poking us. Could not even sit in a restaurant without being harrassed. the cab drivers charged ridiculous amounts and still got us lost.
