(Report Problem)ME AND MY HUSBAND WENT TO BUENOS AIRES LAST MONTH AND WE HAD A WONDERFULL TIME THERE. OUR HOme IN BUENOS AIRES WAS GURDA TANGO & WINERY HOTEL, a concept boutique hotel, a typical old house, located in the heart of San Telmo (first neighborhood of Buenos Aires), being this a privileged area for a distinguished establishment of seven rooms and comfortable public spaces.
Great for: History/Culture, Theatre/Music, Nightlife

(Report Problem)Well I met a man my first day here and we spent 9 glorious days together, so let my judgment not be cloused by romantic bliss! But we loved hoppiung in a taxi, exploring all the interesting barrios, dining late at the BEST restaurants and paying $7 for filet mignon. The shopping for leather is great and prices very good..Low costs for clothing and staples. La Boca wortha trip, very charming, great Spanish style architecture. Vbisit Teatro Colon where Verdi perform,ed in 1857 and take a ticket to see a musical performance and enjoy the grandeur of expoereincing the theatre in a performance. Very walkable city, esp if you like to explore. Check out San Telmo Flea Market on Sunday, fun antiques, jewelry, whatnot for guys and girls. Caution: lots of counterfeit money around. Be careful on the street, watch where you go at night. P.S. I ended up passing a counterfeit 100 peso bill to my new friend. maybe that's why he hasn't called since we flew back to our respective U.S. homes...????

(Report Problem)The place wasn't that great, it was actually quite boring. The sites and attractions weren't that fun either.

(Report Problem)Buenos Aires is a city that is very much alive despite their recent economic crisis. It is also a very modern city that has nothing to envy any of the modern big cities in the U.S. It is a beautiful place with many parks and "plazas"(small town squares) where people come out in the evening to relax and stroll along with their pets. It is not unusual see people taking a nap in the middle of the day in one of the many parks. It is a city that has a very sophisticated look with a small town charm. People are everywhere and are very friendly. I enjoyed very much all the outdoor cafes with their tables outside and while you wait for you food to be served you can do a bit of people watching. Food is great , be it pasta or steak. But if you go to Argentina you definitely have to eat the beef, this is what they are mostly famous for....great meat. Also...leather is very inexpensive and of very good quality. The shopping is unbelievable. You can shop at flea markets or at the fanciest of shopping malls. If you do go to Argentina you must,of course, see the city, the Cathedral, La Recoleta, El Caminito. You must also go to El Tigre Delta...a town that the only way to get in and out is by boat...exquisite, very quaint and beautiful. All in all...I am planning to return...very soon!!!!
