Overall

Sydney is not just another big city. It's setting is breathtakingly beautiful, even the CBD is close to the water. It's great public transport system makes seeing the city and suburbs easy. Many terrific places are close enough to see on a day-trip, like the Blue Mountains and national parks. (Yes, National Parks that close!) Prices for food and drinks, like those for hotels, are low compared to FL, extremely good value. Tipping is optional, the locals don't really believe in it, and prices include taxes. Rental cars are inexpensive. Sydney drivers are very skilled, and they expect everyone to know what they are doing. Not to mention their driving on the left side of the street. After 20 days in Sydney I am relaxing in the country near Wagga Wagga. Fantastic countryside, but look forward to a few more days in 'town' before I fly home.
