(Report Problem)Transportation is very good. Busses are EXCELLENT,and often.Great food everywhere, especially in Chinese area. Great harbor; grand ferry boat rides from Circular Quay to Manley & up the Parametta. Beautiful parks abound and beaches, beaches everywhere; Bondi, Manly and dozens more. Then there is the Opera House, the Rocks, Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, and not far the Blue Mtns, and Hunter Valley winerys.

(Report Problem)Sydney is simply the best place I have ever been in my life, which ever way I look at it.

(Report Problem)No city where I have ever been is better for those who love water. Whether you're swimming at Manly or Bondi Beach, or taking a tour through Sydney Harbor, you'll have more than enough water to nourish your soul. The people are friendly, and you may come home with a lot of email addresses. Cultural events at the Sydney Opera House attract mobs, and are very well produced. If you're looking for museums, however, Sydney doesn't come close to matching London, Paris or Rome. Still, if you're looking for a lot of fun and the wonders of nature, you'll definitely fall in love with Sydney.

(Report Problem)Coogee Beach, a suburb of Sydney, is paradise. The climate, the beach and the people are outstanding. Spent 2 months there in 2000 and will be returning this month!

(Report Problem)Sydney is wonderful. The people are fantastic. We were there in October and the weather was beautiful. We stayed on the harbor down by the Circular Quay. The view was amazing and the service was great. We had access to great pubs, restaurants and shopping down at the Rocks. The restaurants are great, there is a mix similar to what we would see here in the US (Italian, Chinese, Thai, American). Tipping is not customary although appreciated, we actually had a waitress chase us out of the restaurant because she thought we left money on our table by mistake! The only difference in the food is the Australian specialties such as crocodile, wallaby, ostrich and kangaroo. You absolutely must do the Bridge Climb over the Sydney Harbor Bridge, the view is breathtaking. Another must do is a Sydney Harbor dinner cruise on the ship The Bounty. The cruise leaves from the harbor by the Rocks. There are all kinds of tours that will bring you by Sydney's breathtaking beaches, as well as a tour of the Blue Mountains which were fantastic. We traveled to several cities in Australia and Sydney was by far our favorite. We plan on returning this year. The official website of Australia can provide you with an Aussie specialist in your area. Ours was great, everything he planned was amazing. It was the best trip of our lives and there wasn't one thing we didn't enjoy. The exchange rate is very favorable as well. If you can tolerate a long flight, Sydney is a must see.

(Report Problem)Moved to Sydney from NYC. Love it. It's San Francisco dropped into LA's climate. It's downtown (or CBD -- central business district) is small and manageable. And the beaches, i.e. Bondi or Manly, are no more than 20 minutes by bus or ferry from the Opera house. It has the best of both worlds. Don't be scared of the flight, it's a snap once you've done it and more than worth your time and effort!!!
