The transit system was great in Sydney and most of the drivers were very friendly. The sights were awesome and the habour was fantastic. Being from the states, I was disappointed with the food choices. It seemed that the only reasonable places to eat were either fast food or asian. We did however, finally find Hard Rock Cafe and ate there just about every day.

Sydney is not just another big city. It's setting is breathtakingly beautiful, even the CBD is close to the water. It's great public transport system makes seeing the city and suburbs easy. Many terrific places are close enough to see on a day-trip, like the Blue Mountains and national parks. (Yes, National Parks that close!) Prices for food and drinks, like those for hotels, are low compared to FL, extremely good value. Tipping is optional, the locals don't really believe in it, and prices include taxes. Rental cars are inexpensive. Sydney drivers are very skilled, and they expect everyone to know what they are doing. Not to mention their driving on the left side of the street. After 20 days in Sydney I am relaxing in the country near Wagga Wagga. Fantastic countryside, but look forward to a few more days in 'town' before I fly home.

Actually, safety is terrible. My friend and I had trouble in hotel because some guy in aereport put stamp "passed". Hotel manager told us we need go to police.WAZZ UP MAN! I was lying on Sydney beach, some policemen asked me to show pass-I donšt take it on beach, I told.So I went to hotel and showed it.He looked it but it had not satisfied him-I had to call to the TRAVEL AGENCY.. Now I think about it with some kind of disguisting...ah...What I can do NOW?...

Public transportation is great to use to get around. The Sydney Tour bus is perfect for seeing all the sights downtown and the beaches. You can get on and off as you please.

Sydney is very pleasing to the tourist's eye. There is a lot of great places to experience like Darling Harbour, Sydney Opera House, or the shopping. Everything is walking distance. This city has a western style but still very different.

Personally i have covered many states in aust, it will be great to experience city life here but bondi beach is indeed fun for outdoor goers... blue mountain is beautiful too. Sad to say...got racist remark from pple there, if not it would have been fun

Good public transport.Place to stay around randwick or bondi junction. Good weather all round. Lots of place to visit. Safe even at night.
