(Report Problem)I lived in San Antonio for 3 years and miss it so much. There is so much to do (a lot can be done for free)and it is so beautiful. There is a small town comfort and big city excitment all in one amazing place. Go to the McNay Art Museum!!!

(Report Problem)Enjoyed staying on the River as well as staying outside the perimeter. Staying on the Riverwalk provided ease in seeing all the sights. Staying outside the downtown area requires a little pre-planning so you know where to park and know how to navigate. The food is great. Plan on staying more than a day or two! There's lots to see and do at all age levels!

(Report Problem)I have been to san Antonio many times. It is a great town not only the Riverwalk but within several miles there is so much to see and do I go back at least once a year. I would recomend starting downtown and moving out to other parts of the city. Enjoy the history and the great atmosphere of the whole town.

(Report Problem)I have lived all over the place, but, the saying "you can take a girl out of Texas, but, you can't take Texas out of the girl" has proven to be true about me. No matter where I go, my heart and mind is always in San Antonio... I can't wait to get back! Try it, you'll LOVE it.

(Report Problem)We were in San Antonio to attend our son's graduation from the AF. The riverwalk was beautiful and was a great way to spend a nice relaxing day, riding the river taxis, touring the Alamo, and eating (and eating and eating). I was most impressed with the way all the people of San Antonio treated the airmen and their families. So welcoming and kind. Just about every single person offered congratulations and a thank you for serving and we received several military discounts without asking. That aside it would still have been a great trip as the costs were reasonable and there was so much to do. My favorite was lunch at the Buckhorn Cafe, up a block off the Riverwalk near the Alamo. The only thing we didn't like was the roads. They seemed so confusing and we usually have a really good sense of direction. There were uppers and lowers and the same exit number used two or three times with A B and C and lots of loops and new rt 90's and old rt 90's and we were so confused for the first couple of days. The maps we had done in advance online usually had the exit numbers wrong or missing and the exits never had signs in advance so we always seemed to be in the wrong lane of where we needed to be. Apparently we aren't the only ones taking wrong exits often as all most all intersections had turnarounds (thankfully). Call your hotel and get good detailed instructions before you go and then ask before you set out. Once you figure it out its not bad but you won't be able to tell by looking at the map because there were so many new exits added (and still being built) that they weren't always on the map.

(Report Problem)WHAT I LIKED ABOUT SAN ANTONIO WAS THAT EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED IN ONE CITY IS THERE. THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS TO DO AND SEE. AND ITS NEAR OTHER GREAT CITIES AND ABOUT 2-3 HOURS AWAY FROM THE BEACH
