the clubs, the beach, the people, the restaurants...its like mardi gras on the strip every summer i go there. its great for old, young, shoppers, partiers...just about anyone if you go to the right spots. those who said it was dirty, hasnt been to charleston beach. talk about nasty...that beach had seaweed and trash on it. myrtle beach has white sand and great hotels (if you can afford the great ones that is)

Myrtle Beach is a great place to go and visit to have fun on the beach and shop and just hang out with friends! It a great place for friends to go to have fun togther and still get that "beach" fix!

If you're comparing this beach to Hawaii or the Caribbean, there is no comparison. SC doesn't have snorkeling, surfing, or even good body surfing. The views are far from spectacular. It is cheap and accessible.

The kids loved it...t-shirt shops, rides, commercialization to the max. The beach itself is small (especially at high tide) and filled with youngish folks. It is very crowded. The Old Man and I like something a bit quieter--we don't need to party hardy but prefer to relax. If you go to Myrtle Beach, you'd better be comfortable in big crowds. Have also vacationed at Isle of Palms, Kiawah, and Hilton Head and would choose any of those above MB.
