It's good quick trip
I was there last July. The beach is nice but it's very spread out. You have to get in the car and dive to eat get to the attractions, restaurants. I did have some very good food. There were too many unsupervised teens on the weekend. Still,if you are just looking to relax in the sun and surf for a few days it's a servicable option. If I were headed in that general direction, I'd probably pick Virgina Beach over Myrtle Beach. Everything is more centralize in VB.

Good deals are there if you look. There are policemen on bikes that patrol the strip(Ocean Blvd.) but they really only stay on the strip. If you are taking the family make sure that you check before you go to see if there are any events going on. They have alot of things like Harley bike week, Black bike week, high school senior weekend, and several different spring breaks that go on at different times of the year. Most hotel people will know what is going on on certain dates. The entertainment is abundant but not exactly cheap. There are deals you just have to look for them. Check out Mark at Shore Shots Photography when you go. They offer great deals on beachside pictures and they are professionals. Hard to find more things to do in one location. Just bring plenty of money and sunscreen. You will need them both. Everything is more expensive here. Get gas while you can, there are not very many gas stations.

We love Myrtle Beach so much!! My husband and I are trying to make this our vacation spot yearly because we love it so much! There is so much to do. And everything is near by. We have 31 days til we leave to head down there and I am counting down the days. I am soooo excited. It's like a kid at Christmas! My only warning is... watch out for Black Bike Week.. last year we made the mistake of arriving at the tail end of this event. It was INSANE. Ocean Blvd was down to one way. It took hours to get anywhere. Try to plan your vacation around this event. Unless of course this is your scene.

We stayed at the Yatchmans during a Harley Dividson Convention. The people were fantastic, very helpful and considerate. We loved every bit of the week we spent. Food was great, all the attractions and theatres were the best.

Plenty of activities to choose from. Shows, games or amusements for the kids, tons of restaurants. Great Family atmosphere.We love to go each year.

I really enjoy Myrtle Beach every year. There are so many things to do there. We always visit the go cart tracks and play putt-putt as these are my sons favorite things to do. I on the other hand prefer all the shops and stores. I love to visit the galleries and aquarium also. There is so much to there it is hard to get it all in a paragraph. Any way we will always to continue to visit every year.

I don't know what part of Myrtle Beach I was in compared to most of the reviewers, but the Myrtle Beach I saw was rather dumpy. It was dirty. I find it to be overpriced as well. I live in SC and there are many quieter, nicer and cleaner beaches. This is one giant tourist trap most of the year.
