NYC is romantic? I don't think so. Overcrowded, crime-ridden, and not that clean.

Nice place to visit for 3 days or less. Anyone who calls the armpit of America home needs their head examined.

beautiful place to visit. surprisingly clean. some of the residents tend to be slightly rude but not annoying. lots of outstanding restaurants and hotels. lots to see and do. take the subways and save money - they are well patrolled and safe.

the boat cruise around manhattan, the statue of liberty, the top of the empire state building, the museums and the numerous entertainment options are all attractive. the hassle of flying in and out of NYC, the trip in to Manhattan, the taxi cab drivers, the pollution, noise, street hustlers and congestion are at times overwhelming. and worse are the prices for everything.

Shows are good. No one speaks English, and they are RUDE! The attitude of "I do not care" permeates the place. I hate NY.

What a fabulous city. We were only there for 2 days. We flew in Monday morning and left Tuesday night. I can hardly wait to go back again but this time for a few more days and in warmer weather. We were there in Dec and it was very nice to see the Christmas lights and Rockafeller Centre but I would like to go back when I can walk around more and enjoy the top of the bus ride better. The city has so much to see and do that 2 days was not nearly enough.
