Nothing beats it!

five stars

New York is such an amazing city. There is so much to do, so many sights, lights, sounds, smells, attractions that you don't know where to turn! Everything you've heard about it being 'dirty' or crime-ridden, or about the rude people, etc is all untrue. I cannot believe all the misconceptions that hollywood portrayed. The nightlife is incredible! This city doesn't sleep! They have an excellent selection of restaraunts, bars, clubs, cocktail lounges etc. Whether you want to party hard till the sunrises at one of the world's hottest nightclubs, or chill-out in a castle-like lounge listening to live jazz, while enjoying a drink with your loved one, NYC has it. There is something for everyone- young, old, boy, girl, black, white, gay, straight, punk rockers, gangsters.. whatever type of person you are and whatever you're into... NYC is the place for you! Central park is one of the most beautiful places ever, to relax. Christmas here is the best thing ever. You feel like your in another world, and New Years eve is incredible too. I love the fake knock-off rolex watches and Louis Viton bags in Canal Street... no one will ever believe it's a knock-off. New York has many different neighborhoods which are all worth exploring such as Soho, Greenwhich, Little Italy, Chinatown, Tribeca, among others. It is so much fun just to walk... you can never get bored here! A great city has personality.. which NYC has. And un-like others cities (My hometown of LS being the prime example), it is real.. it isin't a knockoff of other places or sheltered indoors. I could write books after books explaining how great of a city this is.. but you NEED to check it out for yourself.

Amazing

five stars

I Love NYC. If I did not have kids I would love to live here. Everything is so convenient. You can buy anything in New York. And really, people really aren't that rude. And there is so much to see. You would never run out of good causes to help and charities to support. There is wonderful food on every corner. The shows are amazing. It really is a beautiful and amazing city.

What a city. If you forget the traffic, which you can't, this is the best city in the world. It has some of the best restaurants in US, some fabulous mueseums, the Statue of Liberty and Central Park. It is also comparitively safe.

BEAUTY HIDES THE COST WATCH OUT AND ENJOY THE CITY RIGHT

four stars

Hey Here my review on NYC with my recent travel to NYC. I am from SF. NYC totally blow me away. It is a beautiful city but beware above the galmour lies fustration. What do I mean. It nice to vist but they it hard to get around unless you know the subway system and bus. Drive by car was hopeless and painful. I found out that parking is a no no any where anytime and the parking sign are hard to understand. More then anywhere I been. Some sign have 3 or more rules and after 7pm you still have to pay meter until mid-night it free. Parking in a garage will get you rip off. At 8 dollars 1/2 and hour what a rip off. Start by going on the NYC Subways system and learn the station and what you need to transfer. Subways is the way to go. It is very convient. I think next time I choose that route. 7 day pass is only 21 dollars for unlimited rides. Bring water and other nesseciates the city is expensive and in manhanttan it is very expensive a bottle of water is 3.80 what a rip off. If this is your first vacation plan your trip ahead of time. Plan to stay in one area at a time. Locales are nice but they sometimes can't even help me. Don't go to Staten Island it is waste of time. Get a New York City Pass it is a good bargain to gain access to many locations free. It cost about 75-100 for 7 days access to many attractions. Great barigain for us. We spend 320 dollars for 2 adults and 1 child. The stuff we say was over 900 dollars in entrance fees. Saves from carrrying cash too. Tolls is 4.50 so stay away from driving only manhantan bridge and brookyln and williamburg bridge is toll free. They have over 10 bridges. Hit the airtrain to the city best bet. Go to empire state in the morning at night all you see is bright lights. Taxi is also a way to go. They drive fast and crazy so you save a bargin from driving yourself. NYC is pretty small. It is not like in the movies. It is nice if you spend 2 weeks in the city. Talk your time and slow down to see everything. We were there for one week and didn't get to do everything because we drove and had a hard time parking and getting around with so much taxi cab traffic. People in NYC don't drive. I like the beauty of the city and the people are friend not like what people think. They are suprising very kind and nice. It is expensive so go check out as many reviews as you can find. Find out what local resturant is good. Check price before you eat. It is ok to ask for a menu before you sit down because everything is upscale and so is the price. We walk in to a Japanese resturant and 5 peice sushi with one roll was over 40 dollars. Check out the menu. Good to little Italy and Chinatown to get down home cooking price. Go to Bubba Gump in Time Square the price is reasonable $15-20 a person but the service was excellent. They have lot of zoos so go check them out. It better to bring so snack to the zoo and water to save you some money.
