Tapas favourite
The best tapas bar in Barcelona. We went there four times in five days! A must when visiting Barcelona, a fantastic atmosphere if you like the hustle and bustle of waiters running around and people coming and going combined with great tasting tapas. The ouside cerveceria is recommended if summer.

I'm living in Barcelona and I can assure that this place is the place to have tapas. As well as Cervececria Catalana (C/Mallorca) it has a wide variety of plates, tipical from the region, and an extensive beer menu that makes the experience a great one! I recommend it with my eyes closed; as a former tourist and a current local!

TAXI DRIVER TOLD US TO TRY THIS TAPAS BAR WITH A MODERN LOUNGY LOOK AND WE FELL FOR IT THE FIRST TIME WE VISITED. WE TRIED OTHER TAPAS BARS, BUT THIS ONE WAS THE BEST. YOU CAN SIT AT THE BAR AND MAKE YOUR CHOISE, BUT ALSO TAKE A TABLE AT THE BACK OF THE RESTAURANT, WHERE YOU WILL FIND A HUGE DISPLAY OF CANS OF INTERNATIONAL BEER-BRANDS AGAINST THE WALLS, WITH SPOTLIGHT ON THEM. TAPAS CHANGE EVERY DAY, EXCELLENT FOOD, CONCERNING STAFF. NO BACKPACKERS, WELL DRESSED SPANISH LOCALS AND BUSINESS MEN-WOMAN. HARDLY ANY TOURISTS, HIGHT ARCHED CEILINGS. NEXT TO PLAYA CATALUNYA. TO AVOID CROWDS GET THERE EARLY AFTERNOON, WITH A GLAS OF WINE. GETS REAL BUSY AFTER 10 PM. GO FOR IT!!!

I have recommended Ciudad Condal to many of my friends and they have all agreed with me that this place Rocks. First of all, it's in the middle of the hustle and Bustle of Barcelona. The tapas there are excellent in taste and presentation. I recommend eating at the spacious tapas bar or getting a seat in the dining area (get there a bit early to get your party on the list). The place had tall ceilings at the bar area, and dark wood with a classic yet modern feel. It's a fun and casual atmosphere, yet attracts an upscale crowd. I went there three times in one week and I forgot how the service was because I was having so much fun! It was easy to get a seat until about 9:30pm, then it got packed! This was a good thing as the atmosphere was condusive to meeting other locals and visitors. I tried a few other tapas restaurants while in Barcelona, but they seriously paled in comparison.

Very excellent tapas bar in Barcelona. Nicely presented and tasty tapas. Efficient and friendly waiters. Simply perfect. We've been there on three consecutive nights.
