the la sagrada familia was the best cathederal that i have ever seen. The work and dedicatioon that was put into it was excellent.

(Report Problem)Yeah, it's big, it's the icon of Barcelona, and it's cool, but it's also the single biggest piece of religious masterbation in Western Europe (Starving begars outside + 10euro entry into a church + Huge Gift Shop = Irony). The construction is contant and a bit much to take in, there are better more accesible Gaudi buildings in Barcelona like La Perdera.

(Report Problem)If you only have one day in Barcelona, this is the thing that you have to experience in this city. This cathedral is still under construction, but the cranes and scaffolding do not take anything away from this masterpiece. We had the most fun taking the elevator up to the top (It cost 2 euros when we went). Then we walked all the way back down--peeking our heads out of the open air windows to get great views of the city and the architectural details. I love this building.

(Report Problem)Got out of the cab in front of Sagrada and my breath was nearly taken away. I was fairly ignorant of Barcelona when I arrived and I had no idea this existed. Refreshing architecture that feels different than anywhere else I've been in Europe.

(Report Problem)The absolute must see attraction in the city of Barcelona. The greatest monument of the architectural genre known as Modernisme, despite the fact that its timetable for completion isn't due for another 50 years (even though construction began in the 1890s). Widely considered to be Antonio Gaudi's premiere work.
