Just Plain And Ordinary
I visited the park during my stay , it was nice , but nothing special. Possible if I lived there I enjoy more, but being a tourist and having so many other things to see I would not encourage anyone to feel bad if they don't have the time to visit the park.

Vondelpark is a large spread of open land for citizens to enjoy the outdoors. I visited the park several times and loved people watching there. I saw much of real life in the Netherlands right there, with children skateboarding, musicians, strollers, runners, bikers, family gatherings, and commuters just walking through. It seemed to be safe, and I got to enjoy long walks there.

A very nice place to sit back and relax. Have a picnic, have a smoke. Great when you just have to chill out.

During my stay in Amsterdam, I stayed in a Hostel located along (almost in) the Park, which was very clean and nice, and I would stay there again. No drugs etc.. allowed. The park was a great plave to stroll at night and unwind after a long day of sightseeing. I passed 2 cops at night, but they didn't seem to mind me enjoying some of Amsterdams....offerings.

This park was a great place to sit and people watch. If you like that kind of thing. If not, there are other things you can do here. Check it out in the day time first.

Pleasant place to spend some weekend mornings esp. for riding a bike. I went there many times when I was in Amsterdam and I liked it. Nice ducks.
