Well worth visiting as it is close to the Natural History Museum which is definitely worth a visit. Though I was tired after the Natural History Museum, I loved whatever I saw. People who love culture and history will love this - they have beautiful artifacts from various parts of the world. They run short courses as well which seemed very interesting, although I was not staying long enough to do one! Last but not the least, the shop is great :).

(Report Problem)I found the layout of the V&A to be very frustrating and confusing because there is a distinct lack of adequate signage. For example, the stairwells should be identified by a letter and the floors need to be clearly marked - the ground floor is deemed to be floor 1? Trying to locate the cafe was a pain, but this wasn't helped by a number of galleries being closed due to security reasons. In the end, I couldn't be bother to do sufficient justice to the V&A collection as I found it very tiring and frustration as did my companion. Feeling weary we decided to abandon the V&A and set off to see the Science museum which is located just around the corner. I am sorry to say that if I never venture to the V&A again I won't be too disappionted.
Last Visit: February 2006

(Report Problem)Nice change in museums for the London scene - its not just paintings. The best part of the V&A is the Thursday late nights. The museum is open late and holds different events including lots of free ones. They can be extremely interesting and expose you to London’s variety of cultures. It’s free and fun and in London where so much closes at 6:00 p.m. you can get time in at a different type of museum.

(Report Problem)Love this museum. It offers so much of the world as the British have been everywhere and collected where they went. Quality artifacts and beautiful to see.

(Report Problem)One of the finest exhibits in the world. They have simply everything. Loved the Egyptian and Roman wings.

(Report Problem)I have recently visited the Victoria and Albert museum and it was great!!! Everybody enjoyed the occasion. I would reccomend it to everyone. Its definetely worth your time and money. You will experience 1800's clothing to 2004's clothing A wonderful way to spend your time adveturing through well thought out cabinets of the most beautiful dresses and suits. You may also visit the gift shop and many other displays and cabinets. See it all for yourself!!!

(Report Problem)The British Museum is much more interesting. The last time I visited the V&A, I grew weary of rows and rows of teapots, plates, and other examples of Victorian crockery. There was, at least when I visited it, little creativity or imagination put into the exhibits. It looked as if everything had just been hastily put up on shelves without much thought.

(Report Problem)V&A was one of my favorite museams to visit. The appeal is that the museum focuses not necessarily on the fine arts, but is extensive in that it also focuses on alternative exibits such as fashions of the past several centuries, tatoos and body piercings. For people who would like to see something different than 300 year-old paintings, this is a good museum to visit. I also enjoyed walking around the hundreds of reproduction sculptures that are housed on the first and second floors. What made the museum so appealing is that I felt very engaged with the exibits because you can get so close. There are rarely any red velvet roped-off areas extending twenty feet beyond the exibits---you can get very close.
