Beautiful place to see. GREAT HISTORY. I recommend planning at least half a day to see everything without speeding through. There is a lot to see and it's worth it to take the time to see it all.

(Report Problem)The Tower of London is a must see for anyone visiting the UK. There is
loads to see in the tower, including the Crown Jewels and Traitors
gate!
Keep in mind that it will take several hours to see the entire
Tower, but well worth the time spent. Be sure to take both the guided tour
and the audio tour if possible.
The tower of London is centrally
located to many other attractions including the Tower Bridge and the HMS
Belfast

(Report Problem)The Tower of London was the first major sightseeing we did on our Great British trip of 2003. It does take about four hours before you decide that you've seen what there is to see. There are many things to see; the Crown Jewels, of course, but also the Yeoman Warders, aka Beefeaters, who probably compete with the Buckingham Palace guards for the title of most photographed men in Great Britain. The Warders also serve as tour guides for parts of the Tower, and the guy we had was a real joker, but a good guide. There are also the ravens of the Tower, whose wings are indeed clipped, lest the prophecy come true about Britain falling if the ravens fly away. Maybe it was the heat, but after our four hours at the Tower, I fell asleep on the boat ride back up the Thames.

(Report Problem)Fun and history meet in the Tower of London. Take the recorded CD tour first thing in the morning during the hotter months. It will probably take 4 hours for the average person to determine that they've seen it. After you're done it is a good time to head across the street to the KFC and enjoy the air coditioning and some familiar American food.
