If you like Italian (and I mean proper Italian not just pizza and pasta) then you'll love the Pavilion. It has a lively atmosphere with excellent staff who are always on hand to pour/serve wine or offer advice on what to order. The food is exceptional. From the roast Umbrian ham and peccorino to the Sea Bass ravioli (all pasta is home made on site) the starters are delectable although i recommend having something other than pasta first followed by a middle course of whatever pasta they recommend. The meat is all well sourced, of top quality and cooked simply but well. My father swears by the calves liver but I love the lamb cutlets or carpaccio of Tuna. Whatever you order it is sure to be good. The desserts are again exquisite with superb panna cotta and my favourite, a zingy pot of lemon. Whatever the occasion, for good value (but not very cheap at about £20 a head plus wine) go to Vasco & Piero's pavilion.
