Dubai is a little expensive now compared to what it was like but everything eles is good the climate is sunny all year round.

A amazing place & will get better

Imagine an early wine, fruity, young, snappy & crisp. This is Dubai today. Even being young, it is classy, clean and thoroughly enjoyable with so much to give. See this as a extended winter break destination for a great beach, great service and great hotels with A MASSIVE PLUS... you get so much more.. Don’t try to do to much as you will miss the whole point of Dubai.. Enjoy the chilling time, enjoy the some of the largest shopping areas in the world, and enjoy the 2nd largest indoor ski slope in the world. Remember you don’t need to do it all in a week. Its a 2 or 3 visit place, and I promise after the first time you will want to come back for more..... The food choice is amazing from small walk in local stall/restaurants to the classy restaurants in Wafi City or large hotels. It has everything.. and not expensive... Most nights you can find £17-25 per person for 5 Star hotel food AND FREE Beer & wine for 4-5 hrs while you are there... This is a must for a great 5-10 day break...... I have been once and now in Love..."with Dubai"

Had an amazing time

Liked the fact that there is loads to do. I really enjoyed the Desert Safari trip and Dhow Cruise.

A life of luxury

Having lived in this oasis paradise for 5 years you feel spoilt!!! Its offers everything and i mean everything!!! Its even got the worlds biggest indoor ski slope right in the desert!! If you like shopping Dubai is the place to go...it has everything from Luxurious shopping malls to shops tucked away in attics selling fake botty!! If your a sun lover you wont miss out in Dubai as temperature sore to an uncomfortable 50 degrees in summer but dont worry....everythings air conditioned!!!!Its great!!! However words of warning include drunken behaviour, this is a Muslim country and the local culture has to be respected. You can freely drink in Dubai however most licensed places are attached to hotels or malls. DONT OPENLY DRINK ON THE STREET!! Not a good idea unless you fancy a cosy cell for the night!! Come see what your missing out on!!!Trust me once you've been here you'll never want to leave!!

Definately worth a second, third visit !!!!!!

I visited Dubai at the end of June. I stayed for a week. I travelled alone (female) and felt completely at ease the whole time I was there. The dessert safari is fab!!! and the shopping out of this world. I cant wait to go back.

Will be going for the third time this year

The culture and atmosphere of Dubai is wonderful, it is good value the hotels and food are equal to any. The beaches are beautiful and there is a wealth of things to do. The shopping is an eduction.

Shopping in Dubai

Dubai is gr8 place to shop in jan /feb during the winter shopping festival and climate is cooler in jan and feb. Good malls like citicentre deira , Bur juman and mercator offer a good shopping experience . And ofcourse you have sahara mall at sharjah and wafi city mall. Planet Hollywood is good place with Asha 's restaurant offering good indian food . The desert safari is also good , lifetime adventure with belly dancing . A boat ride in Dubai creek is a must and so too is visits to Al alain , fujairah and ras al khaimah .

Don't believe the hype

There are a lot of better places around the world for a holiday. Bars are poor, food is mediocre except for Inadian Currys and international fare. Good for duty free and gold but a long way to go for this. Overall looks like a giant building site.

great for short stays

The Place has loads to offer all members of the Familly Reataurants are wonderfull and the service is second to none.Hotels are great but some can be alittle over the top.
