Dalaman town was a typical Turkish town, unspoilt and the locals were lovely and very helpful. The Sofra on the main road was fantastic value. I didn't order off the menu but had what the Turkish people ate and it was delicious. There are unspoilt beaches and many lovely restaurants close by, which for a small fee came to pick us up. We didn't have a bad meal all the time we stayed. There are loads and loads of sights to see for every taste. The only downside we had was that the return journey (Dalaman airport) was so expensive, it must be the most expensive airport anywhere in the world. Take sandwiches!

(Report Problem)There are a lot of positive aspects to Turkey. The countryside and mountainous areas around Dalaman are truely wonderful. We saw wild tortoises amongt the pine trees, the most wonderful restaurants set amidst the backdrop of the Akayya Lake. There are loads of great places to eat in Turkey. Dalayan is a lovely town with great places to eat by the Cainos Tombs, and so cheap. Dalaman is more industrial and not the best place to pick but even so we had a great time shopping there and from there you are so near to everything. Try getting a boat from Dalyan and spend the day drinking, eating and socialising at the mud bath.

(Report Problem)If you like tacky hotels, cheap food and cockroaches then this is the place to go! dont be fooled by the brochures of dalaman, turkey, can be very misleading. the beaches are infested with bugs and beetles, and the women WILL steal your money and your belongings. a couple me and my wife met actually had their passports stolen by the receptionist. this is not a good place to relax, if you like to be kept on your toes however (by the screams of young women) then look no further!

(Report Problem)Everyone was so VERY friendly. The food was some of the best I'd ever had. The currency rate is good for UK & Euro.
