Pattaya, first stop. Then stepping stone for Thailand.

Like many Pattaya hits your senses when you first arrive and you seriously wonder why you would ever holiday anywhere else. After a while you long to experiance something of Thailand other than what Pattaya offers in an excess of excesses! We took a rental car from a local company run by friendly knowledgeble Expats who suggested places to visit away from the masses but still within driving time of our hotel. Bring your driving licence and camera - brilliant place. We're booking for Christmas again next year too.

Average beach

The things i like about pattaya beach are the view of the boats.The thing i dislike are the constant sellers.

pattaya is good value, hotels are cheap and of a good standard . night life is second to none . going back for my 13th time cant wait

cant wait to return

we spent 11days in pattaya , and will be returning . 3 single blokes were treated like kings from day one . our hotel was exellent (SAWASDEE SEA-VIEW) , always smilling and helpfull staff their . food was to die for at every resteraunt and street cafe we ate at . with the added advantage of 24hr drinking wot more can you ask for .

crazy pattaya

when you first get to pattaya you just think great place, then when you get to the night , you realise its a crazy place but in a good way, dont rent a motor bike or moped theres no point as the roads are like the place CRAZY .Me and my friend got lift on the back of some bikes and know red lights dont mean a thing to them definetley go its great give ko samet a miss its a dive ladyboys every where accomodation aint great food not that good either good hotel in pattaya called nags head opposite the marriot 500 baht a nite

Take me back home!

This place is relaxed, cheap and there is something for everyone. A safe place overall, food and drink is good all round and cheap. I do think it is a single mans candy shop and you do need a open mind.

Heaven on Earth

Pattaya is a super place for a holiday.All you want and need is catered for.The locals are friendly and pleasent,and always have a smile for you.Food and drink is very good and even better CHEAP. After 4 trips to Pattaya i cant wait to go back. If your a single bloke it really is Heaven on Earth.

Pros & Cons of Pattaya

Despite its reputation, there is much to see in the city and surroundings. Excellent shows at the Alcazar and Tiffany's. If you want to swim, avoid the Beach Street beach. Rather, take a bat-bus (10B) to Jomtien Beach.

Totally Thai!

This place is a wonder, beatiful temples of gold and riches, children and women selling anything and everything on filthy streets! A beautiful contry once you get over the sewer smell and the slezy men with beautiful Thai women! You can easily fall in love with the place, lovely freindly locals even if they do try and lure away your man if hes alone, but we all gotta make a livin! 10/10 Thailand Rocks!!
