I really don't know why Singapore is in the tourist's map. I mean, the attractions Singapore offers are quite juvenille-a zoo, breakfast with orangutans, a bird park. No historical attractions except for Sir Stamford Raffles and the war museum in Sentosa (Go to Corregidor in the Philippines, it's much better!!) Sentosa?-BORING!!! The beaches in the Philippines and Thailand are much better. Nightlife-Zero. The city is asleep by 11 pm, wherein Bangkok and Manila are swinging up to 4 am. Plus, because the country is so giddy about the cleanliness of their city, I felt like the whole country was stalking me, watching my every move. Hidden cameras everyhwere-trees, highways, parks.I felt like a contestant in a reality show (Survivor:The Hidden Cameras of Singapore). I wouldn't be surprised if there was a camera in the public toilet to detect those who don't flush!!!! Shopping?-too expensive plus the malls are nothing compared to Bankok and Manila malls. So, why do 10 million tourists visit Singapore-beats me!!!The country has nothing to offer.
