This IS the best museum in the world, but only if you study up first. Look through books about the Louvre's works of art and write down the ones you like the best; or, if you like Egyptian antiquities or Italian Renaissance paintings, research them. Take your list with you to the museum, and if you don't see them in the brochure, ask a tour guide where they're located. Museums are the most fun when you know what you're looking at, so do your homework! My personal faves are the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo (duh), but there are many other gorgeous works that the everyday person isn't aware of; make sure you get the most out of this excursion!
