The building is completely amazing. It's structure and stories are beautiful. You don't see too much of the church, but what you see is beautiful. Don't miss the holy water that is offered by the enterance and exit.

As a child studying French the nuns told me that by learning another language I would be able to make confession in more places. When I visited Notre Dame I saw that the confessionals had sign boards indicating the languages spoken by the priests. They all spoke English. But it did help ordering meals.

Notre-Dame de Paris is an amazing place at first sight, but the more you investigate the more amazed you will be. The light portals throughout the building and the great sprawling columns show impressive architectural insight. It will amaze you how every solitary piece of the construction is a hand carved stone, even the supports between the stained glass window panes. Truly amazing! This is a great place for some photos!

The first time I went to the Notre Dame it was just an hour after landing and it would have been about time for me to go to sleep when in Paris it was only noon. This made the Cathedrale harder to enjoy. The second time was better. I recommend standing in the line to go to the top of Notre Dame and see the Gargoyles. It's quite a hike up the stairs but it's definately worth it.

i just got back to the states from paris and ive got to say that my cousin
and i, who were both visiting our aunt and other consins in paris, spent
most of our time around notre damme...the atmosphere there was amazing. at
dusk its really cool to see all the people out in front of notre damme
spinning fire. and there is always a good time down by the river where
lots of people play music and stuff like that.
