The Manager was totally rude.....

three stars

We went to George to celebrate my daughters Birthday. 8 of us dined, the service was excellent, the views of across Paris spectacular, the food OK, but charging €96 euros for a small chocolate cake with 3 candles on was a joke. Even the staff thought the manager was having a Joke, but typically French the manager sniffed and told us that this was the price! won't be going back.

Food Poisoning New Year's Day

five stars

Warning. The two in our party who had seafood were violently sick for the entire night afterwards. One had crab, the other oysters. 80 euro dinner which spoiled our last two days in Paris.

Paris in all her glory

five stars

Georges is an absolute must for those who want to experience Paris in all her glamour and beauty...excellent service (staff are also incredibly beautiful), amazing views of the city (book ahead and ask for a window couvert, there's nothing quite like dining whilst watching the Eiffel shimmer), contemporary fine dining does not get any better than this. C'etait absolument parfait!

One must of Paris

five stars

"Café Georges" is worth the detour just for its amazing view: roof floor from the center of Paris, no tall building around, and one feels much closer to all the surrounding monuments than looking from the skyscraper Montparnasse.
The minimalist decor and furniture are extremely elegant and modern, without any pretention to compete against the view from the large windows. The roses on the tables have already become one reference in the Paris chic scene.
The food is good (could find better of course), though expensive (have to pay for the view), the service is quite good comparing to the other fancy lounge clubs (eg Buddha Bar where you have to wait for 30 min to get the menu, then 30 min to pass the order, another 30 min to get your drink).
Anyway, one of my favorite places in Paris, especially by night, I just cannot get bored with the view and the ambiance!
