One of the Wonders of the World

This is really a place of the Gods, an incredibly beautiful place. When you fly in, make sure you get a window seat so you can sea the coral ocean. The views are breath taking. All planes land at Male which was specially extended to allow aircraft to land on it Upon landing in Male, you can should have arranged transport to your island. (The Maldives are a collection of coral islands rather than one large land mass). Transport to your island can be dow, (an old fashoined boat with a small motor on it), a speed boat, or a sea plane. The speed boat was my method of transportation and it was fantastic. Upon arrival at the island (25minutes away from Male) we were greeted with champagne cocktails. Then we were shown to our bungalow, which was sea facing. The bungalow was air conditioned and comfortable. We then strolled down to the beach, white sand, blue skies and a very hot sun greeted us. I have 5 nights in Lohifushi and each one was different. Whether it was a steam boat (a form of cooking your own dinner) or a BBQ on the beach on Valentines night or an evening watching crab racing (yes crab racing, not that exciting until you have had a couple of glasses or beer or wine) there was always something a little different to what you might otherwise be doing at home (watching ER, football etc on TV). We took an excursion to do a "Sea Safari" and saw doliphins and lots of fantastic fish and coral One of the very best holidays I have ever had, and I would go back again...
