Overall

i am not one for shopping but japan has so many stores you kind of have to. i stayed in saga which is about 30 min. on the train from fukouka. saga was pretty small but fukouka was full of life, I went with my girlfriend who is teaching english over there and when all the teachers go out it is to fukouka, there are lots of bars shopping and tons of good food. pretty much all the reastraunts have menus in english also. it is easy to get around,i suggest to go to the tehjin area because it is the main shopping and bar district.
