Simply beautiful

What a wonderful "strolling village." I parked in the small lot behind the castle, which was perfect. The castle was closed for inside visiting, but the grounds are incredible!! Take a stroll across the street and you'll find plenty of great food and shopping. I drove over from Courtown and made excellent time. Just park the car and hit the beautiful streets. You won't be disappointed in taking a day to explore this charming town.

Kilkenny is a must visit in Ireland

This is like stepping into the past. Wonderful restaurants & pubs. Castles, churches, and such incredible surrounding areas. This is an ideal place to visit. We loved it and will return. We spent 16 days in Ireland and Kilkenny ranks in the top 5 towns we visited. It is a must visit.
