(Report Problem)Excellent city received less publicity when compared to other cities in India. I have seen all the major Indian cities but rate Hyderabad the best of all. The public transportation is excellent but too crowded, roads are wider than most of the major cities in India and are well planned. Has very good restaurants and the food is very nice. People are well educated and well behaved. Buddha statue viewed from the necklace road is worth watching during nights. Enjoyed driving all through the necklace road. Another place near Hyderabad worth watching is Visakhapatnam, the beach is excellent and the borra caves are gorgeous but hard to reach.

(Report Problem)Travelled on business in Feb 2004 and May 2003. Stayed in nice hotels (Sheraton Kakatiya and Taj Krishna) which are quite luxurious, and have good food options for non-Indians. Folks are very friendly. The city has done a lot to support business, including new roadways. I found a taxi driver that was friendly & spoke good english, and had him drive me everywhere after that. Although I had no difficulties with this in Hyderabad, do watch your bags and personal items.
