Not happy

They did not give us the table we liked, inspite of being an empty restaurant on sunday evening. They said they were reserved but nobody turned up at all. The waitor serving our table was hurrying up for orders as if he wanted us to finish our dinner and leave the place soon. Above all, we were charged for a drink that we never ordered for. Against complaining, they tried to explain that the drink priced Rs. 300 on the menu is actually Rs. 700 because they used imported Vodka which I dont know what.

Not a holiday spot

The construction and development has rendered the 'garden city' title redundant - the traffic is bad. This is certainly not a city to go on holiday. In terms of hygeine and safety, it is pretty much like other Indian cities. However, the food and shopping is good and this city has a thriving nightlife.

Hospitable city

It was my first visit to India and it is definitely above my expectation. The traffic and people are ok and the food is great. All the talk of filthy streets and unhygenic food are not true unless you choose street food in the back alley. But I am not sure of the Garden City status, the much hyped Lal Bagh is just another poorly maintained open park. Certainly not worth a visit.

A City Gone Awry

A pitiful city. Here's what you can look forward to if you have the misfortune of visiting this so-called global face of India: 1. Air that is seriously thick with vehicle smoke all through the year. 2. Roads that are so pathetic that your back will remember Bangalore long after you're back (sic) home. 3. People who think Kannada is the national language and anyone speaking in Hindi (or even English) is not worthy of stepping on their soil. 4. Autorickshaw drivers who take the prize for being the most corrupt and discourteous in the entire country. 5. Drivers who flout traffic rules like it is their birthright 6. Traffic congestion and looooong driving times 7. Unkempt parks and historical sites 8. One-way streets that'll make your head spin 9. Civic sense that is probably the lowest among the major cities 10. Government that is coorupt, ineffective, and devoid of any vision for the city. The weather is great but if that's all you care for, pick a smaller and friendlier city. Give Bangalore a complete miss.

Olive Beach in Bangalore

Hi All Olive was my favourite place whenever i would visit Delhi for Work or fun. This time around, while in Bangalore, got to know its opened there. Visited & loved every bit of it. Relax by the beach feel. Dj playing some soothing Jazz & lounge. Food inspired and had great fun with friends that i was meeting after a long time.

Olive Bangalore

I visited Olive beach in bangalore. Wow Amazingly awesome place. Great food, fantastic Ambience, warm and personalized service. Have to visit if u happen to be in bangalore. Its off brigade road, at wood street. For your convenience will give the number also 91 - 080 - 41128400

All hype, not really worth a visit

Bangalore is more hype than anything else, the city frankly is underdevelloped, and apart from a few touristy spots there is really not that much to do, and all the places close pretty early so not much in terms of nightlife, if you dont have work its not really worth a visit. i just came back from Bombay (Mumbai) that place is rocking it just 600 miles form bangalore and i highly recomend it. Chao

Always ready to Visit.

Excellent weather, Nice greenery, Tall Trees, and Hill station like Roads, ups & downs. Dislike the rude Police, too many Temples in the busy public places, especially which are built on the Pavements.

I should definetely visit again!

I like Bangalore very much as the people were a friendly lot and corperative. It has a lot of attractions but unfortunately, not well presented. The food was good and the climate was pleasant. I enjoyed shopping, and on the whole my stay in the city was enjoyable.
